Britain's Got Talent hits our screens every year and ultimately brings a huge amount of joy to families throughout the nation. The 2009 version of the show has been a huge success with millions of people tuning in every week to see the talented and the not so talented acts perform.
But now things have now become a lot more serious, the show has reached the semi finals and is being broadcast every night by hosts Ant and Dec. As of writing this currently two semi finals have been broadcast, and by watching them I can honestly say that this year will not be the one horse race that everyone expected it to be.
Susan Boyle performed on the first nights show and yes she was good, but in my opinion there has already been the same level of talent or better acts. Susan Boyle shot to fame when she sang at her first audition, her YouTube video has had over one hundred million views, and the singer has become a major hit in America.
But by watching the first two nights of the semi finals it has become apparent that there is a vast amount of talent, especially with some of the dance groups. Both nights have seen break dancing groups go through and in my opinion this is what kind of act may end up winning, there is a huge market for them in the UK and the USA.
I do not think personally that the public want another singing act to take the crown; I mean we already have the X Factor and we have already had Paul Potts win the talent show, so maybe this time a group may end up winning. I mean there is some great dance acts on the show that blew the audience away.
Mind you it has also become a lot easier for acts to get noticed in America then it used to a few years ago. Simon Cowell and Pierce Morgan have become so famous in the States that there work is now tracked in the UK. Besides that since the launch of Leona Lewis in America, Britain has now become a hub of great talent.
All of this goes to show that nothing is guaranteed in the world of showbiz and too say there is a winner before the show has began is a bit too much. Do not get me wrong Susan Boyle has a great voice, but there is a lot of variety on this years show.
