Show Your Skills at Alabama Fairs and Festivals

We have numerous fairs and festivals of note in Alabama. Right off, I'd have to say the National Peanut Festival is one that comes to my mind. It's a seasonal harvest celebration that honors peanut growers, and like other events, this festival is filled with activities like rides, and outdoor amphitheater and so on.

One of the more interesting parts of the National Peanut Festival, and the other fairs in Alabama as well, is the craft show exhibitions. Talents coming from all over the Heart of Dixie converge to show off and peddle their crafts and works. This is the place to go if one wishes to find something different and unique.

Perhaps you also share a passion for the arts. Maybe you have been practicing your craft all along, and are just afraid of showing off the fruits of your God-given gifts. May it be a passion for the paint brush, or a fondness for wooden sculptures, do not be afraid to show these talents, for they are to be admired. Who knows? You may even eke out a decent income from it.

Go participate in a craft show, and see what other equally talented people have come up with. If you feel you aren't confident enough, though, you may want to visit and look around at first; observing the works of other craftspeople and mixing them with your own expressive skills. Just remember to not let fear and doubt hold you back.

I really suggest that you go out there and show the world your talents. God has created and gifted every single one of us with a purpose. The arts are far-reaching and you'll never know if you were able to touch someone and change a life for the better without ever knowing you did. What are you waiting for?
