Kelly Brook Removed from the Britain's Got Talent Judging Panel, A Publicity Stunt?

There is always something happening in celebrity land and the world of reality television. No sooner does one reality program finish another starts straight in its tracks. The whole of Britain is eagerly awaiting the return of the hit show Britain's Got Talent. The auditions are underway and the show will soon hit our screens pulling in millions of viewers.

The hosts Ant and Dec return as well as the three judges Piers Morgan, Simon Cowell and Amanda Holden. But early on in the auditions there was meant to be a fourth judge for the TV show in the form of Model Kelly Brook, but she has now been axed from the show after it has even started.

A Talkbackthames spokeswoman said: "The format of the show is cleaner and less complicated with just three judges which was not fully appreciated ahead of filming. Producers reviewed the tapes over the weekend and although Kelly brings a huge amount of warmth to the show and we've loved having her on board, the complications it adds to the filming process and format of the show means that unfortunately, and with huge regret, we have agreed with ITV not to proceed with a fourth judge."

Simon Cowell said 'I have genuinely enjoyed working with Kelly, she is absolutely lovely and a complete professional. But it's become clear the format doesn't support another judge and we will never add a fourth judge to the panel'.

So was this yet again just a publicity stunt that the show pulled to increase its ratings? We all know that last years show was awesome with finalists such as Signature and George Sampson, so starting the new season off with a bit of controversy is always a winner. We saw the same sort of thing happen on the X Factor a few years back when Louis Walsh got the sack and then got reinstated, this brought in millions of viewers to the show. Again the X Factor needed to do something to pull in viewers that year because there was no way anyone was going to compete with the previous years show winner Leona Lewis.

But I do believe this years Britain's got Talent will be just as good as previous years without the need for stunts, because it is different from other shows. You are not just limiting yourself to one talent; there will be people from all over the country going to audition, all with a unique act.
