11 Minutes of Peace under Stars, Earth & Sky Photo Contest 2016



The winners and notable photos of the 7th International Earth and Sky Photo Contest, (www.twanight.org/contest), a program by The World at Night (TWAN) in collaboration with the Global Astronomy Month (astrowb.org) and the National Optical Astronomy Observatory (NOAO). Similar to TWAN itself, the contest also aims to reclaim the natural beauty of starry sky and to help preserving the dark skies which are not yet dominated by artificial lights. All images are captured during 2015-2016 The images in this video are copyrighted by the photographers. In partnership with Yellowstone Forever​, we are excited to showcase the Top 100 finalists of the 2nd Annual #YellowstoneForever Photo Contest. This slideshow video presents the finalists, including the category winners in alphabetical order within each category and expertise level.

Selected from more than 11,000 images by photographers in 18 countries, Winners were chosen in Wildlife and Landscapes categories for each level of expertise: Professional, Amateur, and Youth.
