Event  Facilitator : Dr.  Yahuza  Ibrahim  PRID Sustainability Research   Conference (1st in the   series)     is   an  annual   event   organised   by   Proficient   Research, Innovation   and Development (PRID).   This is one of our multidisciplinary  events; presentations about sustainability research findings from any discipline   is welcomed. The   event   is   mainly targeted   at     diverse     participants     including   but   not limited   to 1.   Academics and   researchers       working     or   studying     in   an     area     that     involves   investigations   related   to the   understanding     of   sustainability issues. 2.   Academics and   researchers   working     or   studying     in   an     area     that     involves   application   of   relevant   knowledge and innovations     with the main   objectives   of overcoming   challenges and obstacles that   tends   to impedes   sustainability   in various sectors. 3.   Policy makers,   public   servants,  business   people   and   other   relevant   stakeholders   interested   in sustainability issues.    Paper   Presenters:     Participants   with presentations     should     send   them to: pridiorg@gmail.com   Please   quote Event Reference :  PRID SRCon- 01-2016   when you contact us. Confirmed Presenters at the event include: Dr Yahuza Ibrahim Dr   Yahuza Ibrahim   was a former Lecturer and researcher in Nigeria, Banker (NYSC-with the   Central Bank of Nigeria), and trainee   agronomist (on placement) with the   Sokoto State Agricultural Development Project (SADP). He is currently   an independent researcher and event convener   with Proficient   Research, Innovation & Development   (PRID) which   he   founded. Dr   Yahuza   is   a global expert   in   Agronomy   and Crop   Ecology   with   specialization in theorethical   production ecology. He has particular interest in   exploring yield-density equations in both sole crop   and intercrops. Dr   Yahuza’s   other research interest include but not limited to: resource capture and the efficiency of resource capture by crops; low input and sustainable production systems; climate   change   mitigations   and   adaptations   in agricultural  systems (crops); organic farming and   related   ecological production systems; adaptation of crops and varieties at locations other than   of   origin or of wider cultivation, and socio-economics   of   agricultural systems (mainly crops).     Dr Yahuza’s  papers have been cited in   a   number of     resources including but not limited to :   Tree –Crop   interactions, 2nd   Edition (2015; a   Book   published by   CABI); Plant Ecology (2016; published by Springer); American Journal of Experimental Agriculture (2016; published by SCIENCEDOMAIN international); Agricultural   and   Forest   Meteorology   (2015; published by Elsevier); The Rangeland Journal (2015; published by CSIRO, Australia); Theoretical Ecology (2014; published by Springer) ; Grass and Forage Science (2014 published by Wiley); Journal of Applied Research of Plant Ecophysiology   (2014);   Journal of Al-qadisiyah for Pure Science (2013; published by Al-Qadisiyah University, Iraq); Field Crops Research (2013;   published by Elsevier);   Albanian Journal   of Agricultural   Science (2013) and Pesiquise Agropecuaria Brasileira (2012; published   by ScELO, Brasil).       Dr   Yahuza   has participated   in over   300   events of   academic, professional,   business   or educational   relevance   at   various locations   in the   UK.  He also made   presentations   at some of the   events he   participated in, including   at the   universities of Cambridge  and Edinburgh.
